Pass your Passenger CDL Test

You must have a CDL if you will be driving a vehicle designed to carry more than 15 passengers, including the driver.  Bus drivers are required to have a Passenger endorsement on their Commercial Drivers License.  To secure that endorsement, you will need to Pass the CDL Passenger test from your State Motor Vehicles Department.

This examination will test your knowledge of the rules and regulations that revolve around safely carrying passengers.  You will need to know the proper pre and post trip inspection requirements.  This test will also intimately test your knowledge of what cargo your passengers can and cannot bring on the vehicle, emergency exits, passenger supervision including embarking and disembarking, railroad crossings, bridges, curve handling and the proper use of brake door interlocks.

Before you begin driving your bus, you need to ensure that it can be safely operated.  During your pre-trip inspection, you should check and correct any defects noted or reported by previous drivers.

The following is a list of “some” of the items that you will have to verify are in good working order:

  • Service brakes including the air hose couplings
  • Parking brake
  • Tires (know whether or not they can be capped or regrooved)
  • Wheels and rims
  • Emergency equipment
  • 6 other items

To pass your Passenger CDL Test, you will need to know the rules, regulations and procedures around all of these key subject areas OR you will need to know the questions and answers on the test.  That is where TestAnswers.com can help – we know exactly what you will see on your test and if you know what to expect on your test, you will not be studying irrelevant and unnecessary information.  This, of course, allows you to concentrate on just the important items that you will see on the test.

You should know that buses can never carry Class 2 poisons, liquid Class 6 poison, tear gas or other irritating materials.  There are many other items that you are not allowed to transport.

Your options on passing the Passenger CDL Test are to get a book or two and spend days or weeks studying this often boring material or you can sign up here and  spend a hour or two reviewing the actual CDL Passenger test questions and answers, knowing that you will pass the test.  Remember,  it is much easier to PASS your test, when you know what will see on the test.
